DEMON ELECTRIC LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS

This updated limited warranty policy applies to Demon Electric products purchased on or after March 26, 2024.

LIMITED WARRANTY COVERAGE

The Warranty Period commences upon the eBike's receipt by the customer and concludes upon its expiry.

This Limited Warranty is non-transferable and solely applicable to the original purchaser of the eBike.

Only the original owner of the eBike is eligible for coverage under this Limited Warranty.

Specific Component Coverage

For all new Demon Electric e-bikes excluding the Argo and Pilot models.

  • Motor: 2 years, covering all manufacturing defects.
  • Battery: 2 years
  • Frame: 2 years, covering structural integrity for the original owner.
  • Mechanical Covered Components: 2 years, covering manufacturing and material defects.
  • Controller and Charger: 2 years, covering manufacturing defects.

For new Demon Electric Argo and Pilot models:

  • Motor: 1 year, covering all manufacturing defects.
  • Battery: 1 years
  • Frame: 1 year, covering structural integrity for the original owner.
  • Mechanical Covered Components: 1 year, covering manufacturing and material defects.
  • Controller and Charger: 1 year, covering manufacturing defects.

For new Safe-Tec Smart Bluetooth Helmets:

1 Year Limited Warranty only for manufacturing defects.

Note: All covered components will be replaced at free of cost within 60 days for period. If it is over 60 days and under 2 year period (1 year period for Argo, Pilot models and Safe-Tec helmets) shipping cost will be incurred.

Wear and Tear Items

30 Days Warranty for the following items:

  • Tires and Tubes: covering manufacturing defects.
  • Brake Pads: covering premature wear under normal usage conditions.
  • Chains and Spokes: covering manufacturing defects.

Warranty Exclusions

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear of any Covered Component.
  • Consumables or normal wear and tear parts including, without limitation:
    • Wheel Assembly Components
    • Fenders
    • Brake and Shifting System Components (refer to Demon Technician)
    • Rider Contact Components (refer to Demon Technician)
    • Chain and Chain Guard
  • Any damage or defects to Covered Components resulting from failure to adhere to instructions outlined in the ebike owner’s manual, acts of God, accidents, misuse, neglect, abuse, commercial use, alterations, modifications, improper assembly, installation of parts or accessories not originally intended or compatible with the ebike as sold, operator error, water damage, extreme riding, stunt riding, and improper follow-up maintenance.
  • Quality issues caused by customer misuse.
  • Damage, failure, or loss caused by any unauthorized service or use of unauthorized parts.
  • The Battery is not warranted from damage resulting from power surges, use of an improper charger, improper maintenance, or other such misuse, normal wear, or water damage.
  • Any products sold by DEB that are not an ebike.

In the event DEB determines a Covered Component is defective, DEB will, as your sole and exclusive remedy and in DEB's sole discretion: (a) repair the defective Covered Component or free of charge with new or refurbished parts; or (b) replace the defective Covered Component with a new Covered Component.

DETERMINING WHETHER DAMAGE OR DEFECT TO AN E-BIKE OR COVERED COMPONENT IS PROTECTED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE IN THE SOLE DISCRETION OF DEB.

EXCLUSION OF LABOUR REIMBURSEMENT

DEB provides a comprehensive Limited Warranty for our electric bikes and covered components. However, please note that this warranty does not cover labour costs for repair or replacement.

Our warranty specifically entails replacement or repair of defective components and excludes labour expenses associated with these services.

Although labour costs are not reimbursed, our Technical Support team is readily available to offer guidance and advice on ebike maintenance and repair. They can assist in diagnosing issues and suggesting preventive measures, ultimately reducing the need for costly repairs.

SHIPPING DAMAGE

DEB does not cover damage to Covered Components during shipping. However, if you notify DEB within 15 days of receiving the ebike, provide a dated picture of the damaged component, return all original packaging and paperwork at your cost (unless otherwise agreed), and note any visible damage on the shipper’s Bill of Lading before signing off, DEB will replace the damaged components.

Please note, if you opt for independent shipping methods like freight forwarding, DEB will not replace any damaged Covered Components.

CREDIT CARD CHARGEBACKS

If any ebike purchase becomes subject to a credit card chargeback in any amount, and you are still in possession of the ebike, then this Limited Warranty shall be invalidated until the credit card chargeback has been resolved.

CLAIMS PROCESS

DEB WILL NOT REPLACE ANY COVERED COMPONENT UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY WITHOUT FIRST SEEING PHOTOS OR VIDEO OF THE DAMAGED COVERED COMPONENT.

To initiate a replacement for a Covered Component under this Limited Warranty, you must follow a specific process:

  1. Contact the DEB Technical Support team via email at customersupport1@pdintl.ca or by phone at 1-855-373-4685. Initially, the team will work with you to troubleshoot any issues with your ebike and identify potential simple fixes.
  2. If the Technical Support team determines that a Covered Component needs replacement, they will provide you with instructions for returning the defective part and receiving the replacement.
  3. Upon receiving the replacement Covered Component, the Technical Support team will assist you in determining how to install it into your ebike.

You are responsible for the shipping costs associated with returning a Covered Component, unless DEB agrees in writing to cover these costs. Replacement Covered Components will only be shipped to the original purchaser's address.

It's important to note that the remedies outlined above are your sole and exclusive remedies under this Limited Warranty. DEB's liability for any breach of this warranty is limited to the actual amount paid for the ebike. DEB shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages or losses, whether direct or indirect.

While this Limited Warranty provides specific legal rights, you may also have additional rights that vary from province to province. DEB disclaims all implied warranties to the extent permissible under applicable law, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose for the duration of this express limited warranty.

SOME PROVINCES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
